With less than eight minutes remaining in Super Bowl 54, Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs had just a 5 percent chance of pulling it out.

The 49ers defense had just intercepted one of Mahomes' passes for the second time and celebrated with a team picture (see below) in the endzone.

There were about 11 minutes left in the fourth quarter, and the 49ers were up, 20-10. They thought they had just iced the game.

From this point forward, the Chiefs ran 23 plays and scored 21 points, including their final four snaps to run out the clock.

That's the definition of Mahomes Magic.

The 3rd and 15 44-yard pass to Tyreek Hill. The touchdown to Travis Kelce. The 38-yard dime to Sammy Watkins down the sideline. The touchdown to Damian Williams. Then, with all the momentum on their side, the offensive line and Damian Williams ran a final touchdown in to finish them off.

Three straight drives, and three straight touchdowns, with two San Francisco punts in between. Their only two punts of the game.

In the AFC Championship game, the Titans had a 61 percent chance to win when up 17-7.

The round before? The Texans had a 91 percent chance to win when up 24-0 in the first quarter.

Mahomes Magic is real, and it just won the Chiefs a Super Bowl.
