The Pink House of the Pink Lady in Lubbock, Texas

I am a fan of estate sales -- easy enough. Sometimes I buy things, sometimes I am just nosy and like to see other folks' houses. But this house was an incredible find.

I went to the estate sale of Charlene Finkner. For those who don't know, Ms. Finker ran Charlene's Casual Shop for 30 years.

Eddie Maddox, a local estate sale expert who ran this sale, had this to say:

“You have never seen and will never see again a sale like this. Imagine a Doris Day 1960's movie set, a red & black Elvis room, an indoor garden room complete with Corinthian columns, and an in-house museum dedicated to her store…”

I knew this was a house I had to see!

WOW! A pink kitchen, what else do I need to say? It is PINK! Even the stove is pink!

This was a very interesting bedroom. Black and red accents with bits of pink and white. And who is that handsome fellow in the mirror?

This was another sitting room where, of course, there was a lot of pink. I did like the photo mural of the park.

Once again, another dressing room/lounge in - yup, you guessed it - pink! Ms. Finker had a thing for pink, didn't she!?

More pink in the back of the house, including a pink couch equipped with a pink plush bear and a Boleo.

And finally, a crown for the queen of the manor.
