Texas Tech University improved 22 places in 2019 on the America's Best Value Rankings provided by Forbes Magazine.

Texas Tech Today reports that this is the second straight year that Texas Tech has improved its ranking.

Tech is ranked as Number 116 in the nation, and Number 72 among public institutions.

The rankings are based on net price of attendance, debt accumulated by the student, earnings of alumni, progression towards graduation, school quality and access for low-income students.

Texas Tech President Lawrence Schovanec said:

Return on investment has increasingly become a focus of students and families when researching colleges. The university's commitment to an affordable, high-quality education is a priority, so it is gratifying that Texas Tech fares well in Forbes and other value rankings.
