The TCU Horned Frogs came to Lubbock ready to play and got off to a hot start, getting up on Texas Tech 17-0 before the Red Raiders even showed a pulse.

The second quarter would open with a Texas Tech field goal and some Texas Tech momentum until the Horned Frogs came right back with a score of their own: a 55-yard touchdown from Jalen Reagor.

After TCU got up 24-3, Texas Tech went to work.

First, a Jett Duffey touchdown to Dalton Rigdon. Texas Tech's defense would then force their first stop of the day, leading to a 70-yard touchdown from Jett Duffey to RJ Turner to make it 24-16 after a missed extra point.

TCU would march down for a field goal to close out the first half, 27-16.

Texas Tech would get the ball first in the second half and drive right down the field, after a targeting call on TCU, to score and make it a 27-22 game. After another stop from the Red Raiders defense, the offense would respond, and Erik Ezukanma would catch his first touchdown of the day.

After taking a 28-27 lead, Texas Tech would trade field goals in the 4th quarter.

With the score 33-31, with TCU in the lead, Texas Tech would make a huge stop after a touchdown was called back for TCU. After a Horned Frog punt, Texas Tech would have an opportunity to drive down and take the lead.

McLane Mannix caught a screen pass on the ensuing drive and immediately fumbled it to TCU. With time dwindling, TCU just needed a single first down to lock in the win and take back the saddle to Fort Worth.

Jett Duffey finished with 333 yards passing and 4 touchdowns in the loss. R.J. Turner had 3 receptions for 116 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Texas Tech's next game is Saturday, November 23rd against Kansas State at Jones AT&T Stadium. Kickoff time is currently to be announced.
