The NCAA Tournament is never complete without the iconic montage that wraps each tournament up with the classic "One Shining Moment" song playing along in the background.

I usually take great pleasure in watching the NCAA Championship game, then waiting around while they stall to add the final moments of the tournament to throw the One Shining Montage together.

To be completely honest, the 2022 video absolutely sucked.

I can't quite place my finger on why I didn't like it, but it just felt really flat to me. The crowd shots were lacking, there was entirely too much slo-mo and the tournament itself didn't have enough buzzer-beating moments that usually enthrall the masses on the montage.

You can judge for yourself here:

Luckily, the Texas Tech University social media team rectified the national montage's problem of not showing a single action shot from the Red Raiders and take you through the team's entire tournament run, "One Shining Moment'-style.

It's beautiful and moving.

We've already been talking about who may or may not be back on the Texas Tech Men's Basketball team, but it's nice to get a little bit more closure on the 2022 season before we officially move on. Especially with the Kansas Jayhawks winning the NCAA Championship just a year after Baylor won it. The Big 12 is truly a gauntlet, and Texas Tech is at the top of the conference with those two programs.

Going back to 2018, the Big 12 has had a team in the Final 4 or National Championship game with back-to-back championships, and a Red Raiders runner-up trophy in 2019.

There's no reason to think that Texas Tech won't be in the conversation again next year as well.
