Texas Mom Gets Ready For a Double Arm Transplant [VIDEO]

One Texas mom keeps high hopes after loosing both arms and both legs. Recently though, her and her family received a bit of good news!

Meet Katy and Al Hayes. Due to a group A streptococcus, the same kind of germ that causes strep throat, Katy lost both her arms and legs and has been battling life's daily challenges since then.

Luckily though, after an abdominal surgery to prepare her body for the transplants, Katy has received the 'go-ahead' to receive a double arm transplant.

Admittedly, it is only the first step on a long road to recovery, but Katy and Al are keeping high spirits.
