Scott Lattin of Whitney, Texas, has now been charged for vandalizing his own truck with "Black Lives Mater" and other graffiti.

Fox News 4 reports that back on Sept. 8th, Lattin, a disabled veteran, reported to police that his truck had been vandalized because he displayed a pro-police message on the vehicle.

However, after Whitney police saw the story on Fox News 4, something didn't add up. There were differences in the damage done to truck.  This prompted the authorities to take the investigation in a different direction.

Then Friday afternoon they arrested Lattin on a misdemeanor charge of making a false police report.

Lattin denies the charges, but according to the warrant affidavit, he admitted damaging the inside of his vehicle for insurance purposes.
