Lubbock folks may remember Ariel from Lonestar 99.5. She has since spread her wings and moved on to Austin. We miss her, so when she created this fundraiser for a loved one, we knew we needed to help spread the word.

From GoFundMe:

In November of 2018, Jose was physically attacked by a man who he did not know, leaving his face and nose disfigured, and bone fragments wedged near his brain. Three months following the incident, he fell upon several hardships. After his truck quit running, he was doing everything he could to maintain some sort of normalcy and continued to attend work and college classes by taking public transit and biking. In late February, while riding his bicycle to class he found himself in another unfortunate accident and is now in the hospital facing the unknown. He’s too humble to ask for help so we are taking upon ourselves to aid him in his time of need. He is in critical condition, has a skull fracture, broken jaw, shattered lower eye socket and as the Doctor said, his forehead looks like a jigsaw puzzle. Truly any donation will help him on this long journey to recovery. If you are unable to donate and are inclined, prayers are welcomed.

If you feel called upon to donate, please do so via their GoFundMe page. (Warning: Pictures of Jose's injured face are graphic.) The family is also asking for your prayers at this time.
