Dallas/Fort Worth-based country band Vaudeville played in Lubbock recently, opening for Pat Green at Charlie B's. The band paid Lonestar 99.5 a visit before the show to demonstrate why they're a band to watch.

The term Vaudeville denotes a 'mixture of specialty acts,' which is a perfect name for this band whose members have varying degrees of musical influences and professional playing past-times such as hard rock, R&B/Blues, pop/boy-band and classic country.

While new to the Texas Country scene, their music sounds anything but rookie. Songs in the works for their debut album are polished and professional, with soaring vocal harmonies, interesting storyteller lyrics and just enough soul and swagger to have you bobbing your head and singing along in no time.

Led by singer Ashley Lee, whose vocal stylings are reminiscent of Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood, the band features Jude Dyllan on guitar and vocals, Larry Crawford on keys and vocals and a rhythm backbone of Billy Walker on drums and vocals and Steve Wilson on bass and vocals.

Yes -- everybody sings in Vaudeville, which is a huge plus. Ashley and guitarist Jude Dyllan recently worked on fine tuning music from their debut album with noted songwriter Ashley Gorley, whose credits include co-writing songs such as That's My Kinda Night, Hey Girl, Crash My Party, Running Outta Moonlight, Then, You're Gonna Miss This and It Won't Be Like This For Long to name a few of some 23 no. 1 singles over the span of the last decade.

Vaudeville loves Lubbock and hopes to play here often in 2016 and beyond. Listen for them as a future breakout band from Texas. Their star is on the rise. Check out their performances of "Good People" and "Let Me Go" below.
