Some mornings when I wake up, I just need a little musical push to get the momentum of the morning going. So I like to pick themes and today's was 'Duets'. I found myself really admiring Shania Twain's newly redone 'Endless Love' with Lionel Richie. This is what has inspired Blake's Poll today! What is your all-time favorite Country duet?
A lot of country music stars were a part band or were in a different music genre before landing in hitting it big in country music. Kenny Rogers is no exception. He was part of the group "The First Edition" and before that "The New Christy Minstrels" in the 60's. His big breakthrough would come in the 70's.
In 1986 Lionel Richie released his "Dancing on the Ceiling" album and the second song released from that album was the title song which became a hit single. For the last few years Rascal Flatts has featured that song, along with Richie singing along on screen, in their concerts.
