Suspect Indicted for Choking 90-Year-Old Lubbock Woman

Danny Ray Davis (55) was indicted by a Lubbock County Grand Jury Tuesday after allegedly choking a 90-year-old women to the point she nearly passed out..

A police report from last April indicated the elderly woman was Davis’ landlord and the two were in a heated argument at the time of the assault.

The unidentified victim was standing on the porch of a home in the 3100 block of Teak Avenue arguing with Davis when the altercation escalated and Davis put his hand around her throat.

Davis denied any physical altercation took place when police arrived on the scene.

Police took Davis in to custody and transported him to the Lubbock County Jail where he is being held in lieu of a $5,000 bond.
