Subway to Donate Meals to Lubbock Area Food Banks & How You Can Help

You can treat yourself to your favorite footlong, and help our community at the same time.

Thanks to Subway's new initiative, with the purchase of every footlong through April 30th, the cash equivalent of one meal will be donated to Feeding America food banks. You know our local one as the South Plains Food Bank:

Subway® and Feeding America® are teaming up to provide up to 15 million meals* to feed people in need across the country. With the purchase of
every Footlong through April 30 for takeout, catering and delivery, Subway will
provide a meal* to support local Lubbock area Feeding America food banks.

There are nearly 50,000 people in Lubbock that are considered to fall into the category of "food insecurity." That's 16 percent of our populace. Nearly 1 out of every 5 people you see. And in our current economic climate, people who have never experienced food insecurity may face it for the first time.

If your neighbor knocked on your door and asked you for a meal, I know you'd help. This is just a much easier, and tastier, way of helping.
