South Plains Producers Use Social Media to Find Lost Livestock

The Winter Storm Goliath pounded the Southern Plains from Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma and beyond, and may cattle were lost.

When Goliath came through it covered and knocked down fences that allowed cattle to roam freely. Many farmers lost cattle this way and continue to search out their missing herds.

Thanks to the power of social media, the general public is able to quickly post about anything they see and farmers can monitor the sites or post information about their missing cattle.
