Police: Shots Fired Near North Lubbock Walmart, Three Arrested, Two Injured
Authorities were called to a shooting near a North Lubbock Walmart on Tuesday, October 26th, 2021.
The Lubbock Police Department responded to shots fired just after midnight at the Walmart location on Avenue Q as well as the 1800 block of 3rd Street.
An officer in the area had a vehicle approach him and then the driver exited the vehicle saying he had been shot and the suspect’s were driving a brown Trailblazer. The victim was taken to University Medical Center with serious injuries.
Another gunshot victim was reported at the hospital as a result of the shooting incident.
Shortly after, officers found the Trailblazer the suspect’s were driving and arrested three individuals. One was identified as 22 year-old Andrew Morales Jr. III, and other two were juvenile males and their identities won't be released.
An investigation into this incident is ongoing.
