School of Rock's New Location in Lubbock Is Ready For You

It looks like Lubbock's School of Rock is headed to a new place to rock out.

School of Rock is a place where Lubbock individuals can come together and play. No matter the skill level or experience, they accept everyone.

"The entire School of Rock Lubbock staff is incredibly grateful to have had the opportunity to be part of the South Plains community for the past ten years, and we can’t wait to celebrate many more decades in the future," said School of Rock’s Co-owner and General Manager Amber Beatles.

It all started with the "Little Wing" program for pre-schoolers and toddlers, all the way up to the House Band and "All-Stars", which is a traveling band of musicians who make up the top 1% of School Of Rock students, who also get the experience of being on the road in an actual touring band.

"At School of Rock, we strongly believe that music allows us to not only teach our students to be great musicians but gives us the opportunity to share important life lessons to help the students achieve their dreams. Students learn teamwork and communication skills in addition to solid music education. Also, students form valuable lifelong friendships and connections through the School of Rock Lubbock programs. To have brand new, expanded space to continue our mission is incredibly exciting," said Beatles.

Students have the ability to learn many different instruments at School Of Rock, including guitar, bass guitar, keyboards, and drums. If you are a singer you can be trained as a vocalist and potential lead singer.

"Seeing these kids performing familiar hit songs in front of a crowd, and sounding better than the original vocalists and musicians is a great testament to the level of training and musical education that School Of Rock offers," said Beatles.

Their grand opening is set for Saturday, May 6th, 2023 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
