RTX New Music Challenge: Casey Donahew Band vs. Granger Smith
This is your chance to weigh in on the new music we play — and get an early taste of some great new songs. Last year, these two squared off on iTunes, when both band's albums were released on the same day. This week Casey Donahew toes the line against the dynamic duo of Granger Smith and Earl Dibbles Jr., in the RTX New Music Challenge.
First up, a band that needs no introduction, The Casey Donahew Band -- a veritable force in Texas, and country music in general. They're selling out venues and headlining concerts from Victoria to Amarillo, Tyler to El Paso -- and beyond. Off their album, "Standoff," the follow up to their No. 1 smash "Small Town Love," check out their latest single "Lovin' Out of Control."
In this corner, a guy who has broadened his fan base considerably the last couple years -- to include all of America -- Granger Smith. With the help of his brain-child Earl Dibbles Jr., Granger's music has just exploded of late. Real quick, I've gotta take this chance to remind you, his 4th Annual Boot Walk, steps off this Sunday. Now, check out "If Money Didn't Matter."
