It's a big party and an important fundraiser with some great Texas Country music lined up Saturday, April 8th. The Brock Riemath Memorial Scholarship Annual Benefit promises to be an exciting night at the Office Grill and Sports Bar.

We spoke with Kia and Deanie Riemath, who were able to give some real insight into this important event.

"The funding goes to educational scholarships for seniors in high school," Kia said, explaining that there are students who don't qualify for scholarships because they are somewhere in the middle: "The kids that fall in between the cracks...the ones that don't get any type of scholarship."

"We also spend most of the night bringing awareness to organ donation, since Rascal was an organ donor," Deanie said.

Deanie explained that there is a great need for organ donors and that there is a shortage in Texas. "It's a two to four year wait for Texas," she said, with more than 100,000 people already on the wait list for organs.

In addition to choosing to be an organ donor on your driver's license, you can go online to register as an organ donor, Riemath explained. She also shared how important it is to tell your family if you wish to be an organ donor.

We can look forward to some great Texas Country music from Callahan Divide, 40 Thieves and Eddie and the Eat.

There will also be a live auction, raffle and silent auction to raise much-needed funds.

Don't miss The Rascal Roundup Annual Benefit this Saturday, April 8th at The Office Grill and Sports Bar, located 5004 Frankford Avenue.
