Incredibly sad news for RaeLynn and family, as her husband, Josh Davis', grandfather has died.

RaeLynn broke the heartbreaking news on Instagram, sharing a beautiful photo of Davis and his "Papa" from the young couple's wedding day. She is seeking prayers and support from fans during this troubling time.

"Josh's Papa passed away today. I can't imagine how hard it is for Josh being away when all of this is happening," RaeLynn writes alongside the sweet photo, with a purple heart emoji. "Praying for my husband and family so much right now. So thankful for all the Joy, Wisdom and Example of a Real Man Papa showed to Josh. Please say a prayer for the whole fam."

Davis is currently on duty as he serves in the United States military, a position he assumed in early 2017. The couple wed a year earlier in February of 2016. Her The Voice coach Blake Shelton was in attendance at the ceremony, along with his girlfriend and fellow Voice judge Gwen Stefani.

The 22-year-old country singer has been very open about her husband's military standing, even writing a song for him on her 2017 album Wildhorse in a track called "Diamonds" that revolves around the meaning behind her engagement ring. RaeLynn and Davis have been exchanging letters while he's away fighting for the country.

“I’m excited down the road, when we have kids, to be able to give (the letters) to them when we’re long gone," she tells Taste of Country. "To give them those letters that we shared and witnessing the love we have for each other is gonna be something that will live on for ever."
