An armed bank robbery occurred Tuesday morning (Oct. 14) in Clovis, New Mexico.

At around 9:45 a.m., officers with the Clovis Police Department were dispatched to the U.S. Bank located in the 2500 block of North Prince after a lone suspect robbed the branch at gunpoint.

There were no injuries, but the suspect fled the scene with an unknown amount of cash.

Clovis Police along with New Mexico State Police searched the immediate area but were unable to locate the suspect.

According to Clovis Police, the FBI field office in Roswell, NM, was contacted and an agent was sent to investigate.

The suspect was last seen in blue jeans with black shoes and a green camouflage jacket. The suspect was also carrying a backpack and was seen with a handgun.
