Plainview Police Arrest Two Suspects for Stolen Property
The Plainview Police Department have made two arrests in connection to stolen vehicles and property.
On Thursday, April 7th, officers responded to the 300 block alley of South East 6th for reports of a suspicious person. There authorities found 26-year-old Austin Cansino painting a vehicle in the area. The vehicle was discovered to be stolen and this led officers to the 800 block of West 27th, where additional stolen property was found.
In total, two stolen vehicles were found as well as a stolen firearm, trailer, and welder.
Cansino and another suspect, 33-year-old Mark Flores were taken into custody and booked into the Hale County Jail.
Cansino faces charges of possession of stolen property and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
Flores has been charged with possession of stolen property, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and possession of a firearm by a felon. During the arrest, officers found several warrants for Flores.
Authorities have returned some of the stolen property to their owners.
