Lubbock Police Identify Pedestrian Killed in Friday Morning Crash

Twenty-year-old Heaven Ramirez was identified as the pedestrian struck by a pickup truck Friday morning.

Police were called to North Loop 289 and Slide Road at 7 a.m. on March 15th.

According to a statement from LPD, Ramirez was attempting to cross the eastbound lanes of the North Loop access road when the crash occurred.

Ramirez was taken to a local hospital after the crash, where she passed away.

All eastbound lanes were shut down immediately after the accident, but police have since left the scene.
