New Hotline for Citizens to File Reports Against City of Lubbock Employees
After months of development, the City of Lubbock launched its public fraud, waste, and abuse hotline. Here, Lubbock citizens can submit reports on city employees who aren't behaving appropriately.
On the City of Lubbock website, after making an account you can submit a named or anonymous report. You can also track the status of your report through a report ID number given for each report.
Complete definitions of fraud, waste, and abuse violations are available when submitting your report.
"We take very seriously our responsibility in managing tax dollars, and so if those are not being spent correctly we want to hear about that," explained Jeff McKito, Public Information Officer for the City of Lubbock. "Or if there's someone who's stealing those funds, it not only hurts us but it also hurts the citizens, it costs us more money to take care of those things."
