Naked New Mexico Woman Leads Cops on High Speed Chase
Early Saturday morning, Santa Fe authorities received reports of a woman throwing items out the window of her vehicle. What officers discovered when they pulled her over shocked them.
KRQE reports that 51-year-old Barbara Arellano was driving erratically and swerving through traffic outside of Santa Fe. Police tried to pull her over, but she just drove faster, reaching speeds of 100 mph.
The chase eventually ended in a crash after she went through several red lights. From the dust emerged a completely naked Arellano, who ran towards the police vehicle shouting "Jehovah."
She admitted to police she had done heroin, drank whiskey and took a bunch of pills before she took off driving.
The driver of the vehicle she crashed into was apparently fine as he declined a ride to the hospital.
Arellano has been charged with one count of fleeing a law enforcement officer, reckless driving, DWI and two counts of battery on a peace officer.
Plus, she will forever be immortalized online thanks to footage of the incident captured on police dashcam video.
