Since the coronavirus pandemic began, the City of Lubbock has confirmed 234 cases of COVID-19 in Lubbock County, with 20 of those cases confirmed on Thursday, April 9, 2020.

As of the morning of April 10th, 163 cases are still active in Lubbock County, with 62 people reportedly recovered and 9 people dead.

According to detailed reports, 118 cases are related to exposure at a nursing home, 45 cases are classified as community spread, and 32 cases are from direct exposure to someone with COVID-19.

The City of Lubbock has also confirmed that within the last week, 7 healthcare workers have tested positive for the virus. One tested positive on Tuesday, April 7, five more tested positive on Wednesday, April 8, and one more tested positive on Thursday, April 9.
