Motley County Firefighter Flown to UMC with Serious Injuries

A Motley County firefighter had to be taken to University Medical Center after a late-night accident.

The Matador Fire Department, located east of Floydada, said in a post on Facebook that multiple firefighters were responding to several lightning fires in Motley County Monday (August 12) night.

At around 11:00 p.m., one of their units rolled several times. One firefighter was severely injured and had to be flown to University Medical Center in Lubbock. Their current condition is unknown.
