Every now and then I will get into this certain mode of doing a bunch of research on a random topic. My most recent obsession has been looking at apartments and houses all around Lubbock. Part of this is looking at all the really big and fancy houses that I know I will probably never be able to afford.

Typically, these houses are in really expensive areas, so that led me into searching up the most expensive parts of Lubbock to live in. The cool thing about living somewhere like Lubbock is that you can live in an expensive part of town, but the most expensive house in that area might actually be pretty cheap compared to another city.

This brought me down the rabbit hole of looking at Neighborhood Scout, where I found a ranking of the most expensive neighborhoods in Lubbock. They based their findings on the real estate prices in the neighborhoods, and also provide some information on the individual neighborhoods and what makes them different from the rest.

For example, the most expensive neighborhood had most of its homes built between 1970 and 1999, and that 87.5 percent of this neighborhood's real estate was built within that time frame. They also talk about the differences in population, safety, retirement and more.

The neighborhoods on this list are mostly located in the southern parts of the city, as well as the areas near Texas Tech University. Here are the top 10 most expensive neighborhoods in Lubbock:
