Monarch’s Rest in West Texas [PICS]
Where I live we have had thousands of visitors over the passed few days and they are causing quite the spectacle. For a poisonous creature the Monarch Butterflies are incredibly colorful and fun to watch. One of the interesting things though, you don't see too many birds around the flock of butterflies. Animals that eat the Monarch butterfly get very sick and sometimes die. The Monarch goes through four stages during one life cycle. These butterflies are most likely migrating to a warmer climate in Mexico or California. Check out these photo's taken near the Lubbock Country Club.
