Texas native Miranda Lambert has already indoctrinated her New Yorker husband, Brendan McLoughlin, to some of her state's great traditions (such as teaching him how to fry up some Southern-style chicken). This weekend, she shared a series of photos suggesting that she's introduced him to yet another beloved Texas activity—summertime river floating.

In an Instagram post Sunday (Aug. 25), Lambert congratulated her parents, Rick and Bev, for their 40th wedding anniversary, as well as her mom's 60th birthday. The family celebrated at a Gruene, Texas riverfront hotel, and posed with inner tubes for a perfect Instagram moment. Along with a few other cheeky hashtags, Lambert tagged the photo series #hubbysfirstfloat.

The family also appears from the photos to have made stops at local hotspots Buc-ee’s, Rudy’s BBQ, and the Gristmill for celebratory snacks, grub and drinks. Lambert included a particularly glowing shot with her husband together enjoying the get-together, juxtaposed with a nice photo of her parents also smiling for the camera.

Lambert had plenty of reasons to be in a good mood, as she just won the 2019 ACM Gene Weed Milestone Award on Aug. 21, which the Academy of Country Music hands out each year to an artist who has had an especially impactful achievement in the preceding year.

Lambert is set to release her next studio album, Wildcard, on Nov. 1. She's released the lead single, "It All Come Out in the Wash," and fans have already heard tracks titled "Locomotive,"  "Mess With My Head" and  "Bluebird." The album will also include a collaboration with Maren Morris called "Way Too Pretty for Prison."
