Michael Davis, a Lubbock native, has reached the AA level after getting called up this week to the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, a minor league affiliate of the Twins organization.

As described by Dinger Derby, the foremost Texas Tech Baseball Podcast in the world, on Twitter, Davis is the first Red Raider from the impressive 2018 draft class to reach the AA level.

The trips to Omaha, regionals and super regionals for Tim Tadlock have all been impressive but I'd argue the most impressive part of Tadlock's tenure so far has been the sheer amount of prospects he's put in the MLB draft. He's had nearly 40 players drafted since he took over in 2013 and Davis isn't the only one on the cusp of a major league call up.

Tyler Neslony, Jacob Patterson, Ryan Moseley and Robert Dugger are all in the AA level for their respective franchises. Stephen Gingery is listed as the 21st best prospect in the Cardinals system, a spot in front of some guy names Luken Baker.

Josh Jung has already been drafted in the 2019 draft and will be followed in 2019 by Gabe Holt, John McMillon, Cam Warren and 5 or 6 other Red Raiders as Tadlock guys continue to infiltrate MiLB.
