A man told police that on the morning of Friday, October 16th, he was assaulted near Downtown Lubbock.

KAMC News reports the victim initially called police because he saw "lots of blood" and found the victim bleeding in his room.

Officers arrived at the apartment complex in the 1900 block of 7th Street at around 6 a.m. and noted blood inside the front doorway, a trail in the living room, a pair of bloody shorts and black pants, and another trail from the sofa to the bedroom.

Officers attempted to ask the victim what happened, to which he only said he was "stabbed on the street." When an officer pressed him for more information, all he did was lift his middle finger in the air.

Eventually, the victim told police that he couldn't sleep and went for a walk. He was apparently in front of the Cottages of Lubbock Apartments when a suspect came up to him and attacked him.

The victim says he tried to fight off the suspect, but another suspect came up with a knife and stabbed him multiple times in the back, shoulder and buttocks.

The victim says he didn't realize he had been stabbed until he got home and took a shower.

Police say that no blood was found near the area the victim said the assault occurred, and there have been no updates on any suspect descriptions.
