It's that time of year again! There's less than two weeks left to the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. Are you ready to get your pink on?

October has officially been deemed 'Pinktober'. Pinktober is the official month for breast cancer awareness.

This year, the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in Lubbock is Saturday, October 6th, which is right around the corner so that means it's time to get ready to get your pink on!

In a story you can read on the Susan G. Komen website that sounds so much like the battle many women are fighting today, 'Suzy's' sister remembers her diagnosis:

"As if it were yesterday, I can remember the phone call I received from Suzy one Tuesday afternoon. Her doctor had found a lump in her breast that was not a cyst."

Susan G. Komen passed away fighting cancer and the foundation named after her has helped raise an unimaginable amount of money to help fund cancer research and help those fighting the fight.

So join in Lubbock!

You can register to walk or run on Saturday, October 6th here.
