Lubbock’s Moonlight Musicals Brings Free Movies to the Amphitheatre
Sometimes it's hard to find something cheap to do in Lubbock, but Moonlight Musicals is making it easy for people to have fun for free.
Every Friday and Saturday in April they will be offering a free musical movie to their amphitheatre. This is great for a date night, girls' night out or even for the whole family.
The showings will all be classics at MacKenzie Park, starting off with My Fair Lady on April 8th through 16th, and Mary Poppins from April 22nd through the 30th. The movies will start just after sundown, or around 8:30 p.m.
If you haven't been to a Moonlight Musical show, you're missing out. It's such a unique and great amphitheatre and a lot of fun. I went to see their play The Addams Family and had a blast. They even sell really good snacks like popcorn. It's a beautiful location and something different to do with your loved one.
While tickets are free you do need to get your tickets now because space is limited. You can do that on their website now. Don't wait before it's too late.
They have a lot of awesome shows coming up as well if these dates for the free movies don't work for you. Their full schedule is on their website but I can tell you Hairspray is here from April 8th-30th, which would be fun as well.
Moonlight Musicals is located at 413 E Broadway Avenue in Mackenzie Main City Park. You can also call them at (806) 722-0556.
