Lubbock’s Free Literacy and Reading Fair Happens This Weekend
I know we're always looking for free events to take the kiddos to on the weekend, learn a little and have some fun. Well, this event is perfect for just that.
Happening this Saturday only (April 2nd, 2022), the Betty M. Condra School for Education Innovation and the Science Spectrum will be holding the 4th annual Literacy Fair.
This free Literacy Fair will highlight learning difficulties in young students and offer fun activities along with learning issues awareness. They will even have a dyslexia therapist on hand to discuss problems, give mini-assessments, and offer guidance on seeking solutions to suspected reading and learning issues.
The school is providing this free day of reading, learning, and dyslexia awareness to help shed a light on the problem of identifying learning disabilities and different learning styles. They will also have activities for the kids to do like mini Dyslexia screenings, face painting, storytelling, activity booths, free books and so much more.
This is a free event and you can also get free museum admission during the event for kids 12 and under with an adult ticket. If you would like to check out the OMNI Theater regular rates will apply for that.
This sounds like such a fun event for the whole family and a great way to save up some money since it is free. Everyone is welcomed and hopefully will learn a little while having some fun.
It is happening at the Science Spectrum located at 2579 S. Loop 289, Suite 250 Lubbock, TX 79423 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 2nd, 2022. You can find out more about the event on the Science Spectrums website.
