Lubbock has some really cool houses in the area but this one is known far and wide.

This building was almost entirely the work of one man, Robert Bruno, who moved into the barely habitable house in the final months of his life, more than thirty years into its construction. The Steel House is made of quarter-inch Corten steel. The house weighs 110 tons.

The Bruno Steel House has gone through a lot of changes lately. We just announced back in June that the house was turned into an Airbnb but now they are doing some other stuff as well.

All October long you have a chance to sign up and go to mix and mingle parties at the famous steel house. Each event has a different theme.

Laura Beth Butcher posted to Facebook saying she is the property manager for The Robert Bruno Steel House Vacation Rental and that they are having parties at the house all month long.

They will have food and appetizers starting at 7 p.m. for each event.

Sunday, October 22nd: 1920’s theme $75/person BYOB 6 spots left
Sunday, October  29th: 1980’s theme $75/per person BYOB 6 spots left appetizers included
Monday, October 30th: Monster ball $75/person BYOB 4 spots left appetizers included
They are also doing available days for private parties on October  27th and October 28th at $125/person. You will get the home for an overnight stay and a 4-course meal. BYOB and a minimum of 10 people to book.
If you are interested in any of this you can reach out to Laura Butcher at 806-778-8925. Final numbers need to be in 7 days before the event.
