Lubbock Will Not Offering Helicopter Christmas Light Tours This Year
Christmas is here and the lights have been hung and now it is time to enjoy.
Here in Lubbock, we have had a unique opportunity that most cities do not. It's from an angel you probably have never seen Christmas lights before, from a helicopter in the sky.
Frontier Helicopters offered an option for you to see all the Christmas lights at Ransom Canyon from an R44 Helicopter and it has been going on for a couple of years. The helicopter fit up to three passengers per flight. They say accommodations can be made for large parties and all reservations are required.
I mean just look at this view from where they start, this would be great for families or a special date night. Lubbock is so flat you can see for miles so this is the perfect place to do it for sure. While this picture looks so amazing, I couldn't even imagine what it looks like in real life. I mean look at all those lights.
The flights are based at the Slaton Municipal Airport located at 12106 FM 400 Slaton, Texas 79364 but it seems like they aren't offering it anymore.
I tried calling and looking on their website but both things are disconnected. On the Ticket Leap website, it says they do not have any upcoming events.
The last thing they offered was Helicopter Rides at Thunder on the Plains Car Show in Levelland, TX.
