Lubbock Police Need Your Help to Identify Would-Be Bicycle Burglar [Video]
My friend Eric gave me a very nice bike one year for my birthday, and before I even got to ride it, someone decided it was cool to steal it from me and I never saw it again.
I was hurt, I felt violated and I felt terrible that I lost such a precious gift. This may be part of the reason I'm so irked by this guy who thought it was okay to go into someone's garage and attempt to take their bike.
If you know who this guy is, you can call the Crime Line (anonymously if you want to) at 741-1000.
Property crime has become a serious issue in Lubbock and the LPD can only do so much (they did recently hire more officers to help combat the problem). That's why it's imperative we be good neighbors and watch out for each other. Burglary of a Habitation is a second degree felony in Texas that can carry up to 20 years in prison.
