Lubbock Motorcycle Police Take a Little Ride

No, there's not a parade in town today. Lubbock Motorcycle police are getting down to some serious business.

I caught up with the guys all parked outside of Rudy's. At first glance, you might've thought there was a hold up, but thankfully they were just grabbing a bite to eat before hitting the road for official business.

I spoke with Sgt. Todd Peckham, who said that their motor officer's yearly re-certification training is today.

"...it's something we do annually and so all of our motor officers, we meet for breakfast and then we go out to Reese at the runways and we run a course and re-qualify every year."

Out of curiosity, I asked if they ever did any racing afterwards. He responded no, but the smile on his face didn't say that they didn't wish they could!
