Lubbock Man Accepts Plea Deal for Murdering His Mother
Kody Climer, the man who Monday claimed to be innocent of the charge of killing his mother, has accepted a plea deal for the murder.
According to KAMC News, Climer will serve life in prison as part of the guilty plea.
In August 2016, police conducted a welfare check on Linda Gail Wilhite, Climer's mother, and found a large amount of blood in the home, but no body. The case was immediately treated as a homicide.
Climer was arrested a few days later for pulling a knife on his ex-girlfriend at a convenience store. The murder charge was brought against him later.
The body of Linda Gail Wilhite has yet to be located.
