
Lubbock Fire Marshal’s Office Investigates Apartment Fire
The Lubbock Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating a fire that occurred Tuesday night in South Lubbock.
The former Eagle Pointe Townhomes apartment building at 6100 Avenue R, was up in flames when firefighters arrived just after midnight on Tuesday.
KAMC News reports that the structure may have been abandoned, as no injuries were reported. The Fire Marshal's Office has not yet determined how the fire began.
In related news, LFR will be conducting live fire training near the Lubbock Preston Smith International Airport on Wednesday from 6 to 11 p.m. Thick black smoke will be visible in the area.
