A criminal charge has been filed against 65-year-old David Michael Jackson of Lubbock County after a family member accused him of sexual abuse.

Jackson, who was already in jail serving time for a violation of parole from June 8 and has a prior conviction in 1989 for indecency with a child, was confronted with the arrest warrant and reportedly admitted to the incident.

The warrant served claimed that a family member had claimed that Jackson had committed sexual abuse.

"She stated that they were in a closet in his back bedroom and that he pulled down her pants and panties and touched her privacy with his hand," read the arrest warrant, adding:" [The girl] was descriptive about some things during her interview but was unable to provide consistent time references which could be attributed to her age."

According to the arrest warrant, Jackson "stated that he believed that this would effectively incarcerate him for the rest of his life due to his medical issues." Those medical issues are lung cancer and two arterial stents.
