
Lubbock County Man Arrested for Allegedly Shooting at Good Samaritans
One man was arrested after a standoff with a SWAT team Wednesday afternoon (Feb. 22).
The Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team responded to a shots fired call near FM 400 and County Road 5400 in northeast Lubbock County.
A homeowner allegedly fired a gun at Good Samaritans trying to report a grass fire to the aforementioned homeowner.
KAMC News reports no one was injured and the fire burned itself out before causing any significant damage.
Sixty-two-year-old Randy Olander Truett has been charged with four counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon -- all second degree felonies. He was arraigned on Thursday and had his bond set at $175,000. Truett remains in custody at the Lubbock County Jail.
