Lubbock and West Texas Seeing More Spider Webs Than Normal
The rain has been the main reason we're seeing more spiders and other insects.
According to the report from Everythinglubbock.com, the excess moisture has provided a good breeding ground for insects.
The site spoke with Tim Gafford of Gafford Pest Control. He says the breaking of the drought has brought on more insect and rodent activity.
Gafford says moisture creates breeding grounds for insects such as flies and mosquitos. This creates more food for spiders and more reproduction.
Fox Pest Control's Shawn Turner says there are about three times as many spiders as the past years.
