LPD and SWAT Respond to Domestic Disturbance at 42nd and Memphis

Lubbock Police and SWAT members surrounded a house near 42nd Street and Memphis Avenue Thursday afternoon.

KAMC News reports that officers were called just after 2 p.m. for a report of an armed man inside a woman's home without permission.

Police say that the man, 46-year-old Christopher Reyna, attempted to sneak out at one point, but police were able to negotiate with him to come out peacefully.

Reyna was taken into custody just after 4:30 p.m. and charged with unlawful carrying of a weapon. Police are also considering a charge for violating a protective order.
