Local United Supermarkets to Celebrate 100th Birthday With Free Cupcakes

United Supermarkets is celebrating their 100th year anniversary with 100,000 free cupcakes for their customers spread throughout all 66 locations, Saturday, January 16, 2016.
Beginning at 10 a.m. at all United Supermarket family stores (including Amigos, Market Street, United and Albertsons), customers can enjoy a free cupcake and join them in the year-long celebration focusing on initiatives to benefit and improve the communities it serves, starting in January with their Shop To Support Schools donation program.
"Reaching our 100th anniversary is a remarkable accomplishment and a true testament to the hard work and dedication of all of our team members through the years, as well as our loyal guests in each of our communities," said United CEO Robert Taylor.
United Cash Store in Sayre, Oklahoma opened in 1916, beginning a century of service for the Texas-based chain, which now has 66 stores in 36 communities and is headquartered in Lubbock, Texas.
