Local Food Truck Taking The Next Step, Opening Up A Lubbock Restaurant

A Lubbock food truck is taking the next step and opening up a brick and mortar.

The Grub Gauntlet is opening up a place called HubCity Burger Bar where you can come grab a quick bite, unwind, and celebrate with family and friends.

"We want this to become one of your favorite local spots. Therefore, we welcome the positive feedback and input. With that being said, bare with us as we kick off this dream we have envisioned. The first few weeks, will no doubt, have a few things that will need to be ironed out, but we are ready for the challenge," said Nathan Jones.

HubCity Burger Bar will feature a rotating brink oven to cook most of their menu items in. The menu will be an elevated sports bar theme with monthly and quarterly seasonal menu items.

The burgers they will offer are smashed burgers and pressed patties, with several signature HubCity selections. Fresh ingredients will be one of our main areas of focus.

"We are Really excited about our Agave Ketchup with zero preservatives and no high fructose corn syrups used. Also, we will feature a Black Truffle Aioli aka “White Gold”. It will top our Depot District Truffle Fries along with fresh grated Italian Parmesan & parsley, and fresh grated black pepper, said Jones.

They will also have pizza on the menu but they will focus on quality and only feature 3-4 pizza options. Breaded and bone-wings with 6-10 sauce choices depending on seasonal options. Several salad options as well.

They told me they are hoping to open next week.

"We have been working on this project, just for you, for weeks and we are getting ready to open up our doors. A few things still have to fall into place before we are 100% solid and set up, but we are shooting for a soft opening sometime next week. You embraced us, you loved us and you have supported us with our Food Truck. Now, we are giving back the love with a "come in, sit down & enjoy" place of your very own. Stay tuned!!! We are hoping to make a big announcement in the next couple of days," said Jones.

HubCity Burger Bar will be located at the old 1000 Degrees location at 3711 19th St., Lubbock, TX.
