Lubbock National Bank has stepped up to help teach our youth business skills that will hopefully stay with them a lifetime. The bank will be teaching young entrepreneurs how to draft and present a simple business plans to investors for small business loans. The bank also plans to provide small loans to qualified applicants towards setting up their own business, a lemonade stand. Kids must provide a simple business plan along with signing the promissory note provided in their Lemonade Day booklets showing their intent to honor the loan they sign for. The bank workshop for "Lemonade Day" applicants will be held this afternoon at 4:30 at the 50th and Utica LNB branch. Six young businessmen will be there to show Lubbock students how it's done. If you are a parent and interested in your student taking part in the loan program, drop by LNB tomorrow between 3 and 5pm at the 50th and Utica Branch. The student should bring along their business plan and promissory note as suggested in the backpack materials. Learn more about Lemonade day here.
