Billed as the Biggest Night in Latin Music, the 2018 Latin Grammy Awards are set to air live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on the Univision Network from 8-11PM ET/PT on Thursday (Nov. 15). Actress Ana de la Regueraand and singer Carlos Rivera will co-host this year's event.
Brown previously teamed with Cuban-American pop singer Camila Cabello for a re-recording of her massive worldwide hit "Never Be the Same."
The singer-songwriter released his second full-length studio album, Experiment, on Friday (Nov. 9). The album's first single is "Lose It," and Brown also released "Homesick," "Short Skirt Weather" and "Good as You" digitally prior to the album's release. "Good as You" is a love song, and the video features footage from Brown's recent wedding to longtime love Katelyn Jae. The couple wed on Oct. 12 in a ceremony just outside of Nashville.
One of the key tracks on Experiment is "American Bad Dream," which addresses the hot-button issues of guns and policing. Brown says it's a message that needs to be heard, despite the chance it might cause controversy.
"After we finished the song, I felt that we wrote it well enough that you could see that I wasn't trying to say anything bad ... just cause awareness. No matter what artist you are, if you mention anything of this it's assumed people are going to give you hell for it," he tells Taste of Country.
