Kane Brown was back in New York City this week for a performance of "Homesick" on Live with Kelly and Ryan on Monday (Jan. 21).

Brown sang the song with emotion, and the New York studio audience swayed along to the ballad.

"I'm homesick / This feeling that I'm feeling, no it don't quit / It's like half of me is missing / Heaven knows it / That all I wanna do is be alone with / Your brown eyes, just tangled up and holding / Only you tonight until the morning / Baby, that's the damn truth / If home is where the heart is, I'm homesick for you."  Brown sings in the chorus.

"Homesick" was inspired by the feeling he experiences missing his wife, Katelyn Jae while he's on tour. Brown co-wrote the song with Brock Berryhill, Matthew McGinn and Taylor Phillips. Katelyn Jae has been an incredible inspiration for Brown — his first single, "Lose It," off his album Experiment, also earned him a No. 1 hit.

Brown hasn't been a stranger to the Big Apple while promoting his headlining tour and album Experiment. He also performed "Good as You" on Good Morning America this past week.

The young country star is currently on his first headlining arena tour (Live Forever Tour) with support from Granger Smith and RaeLynnDanielle Bradbery and Jimmie Allen appearing on select dates. Brown's tour schedule will not slow down this year, as he is set to hit the road this summer with Jason Aldean and Carly Pearce on the Ride All Night Tour.
