Josh Abbott Gives Parker McCollum a Good-Natured Ribbing After His Truck Was Stolen [Watch]
Heading into JAB Fest 2018, Josh Abbott had some sage advice for fellow country singer Parker McCollum.
McCollum takes the stage Friday night in Lubbock, Texas for day 1 of this year's JAB Fest. But before that happens, it looks like he's going to have to endure a little ribbing.
Hanging out at the Lonestar 99.5 studios, Abbott had a lot to say about Parker McCollum's love of suspenders.
"I hope he does (wear suspenders)," Abbott told Lonestar 99.5 deejay Jan after learning that McCollum was thinking about wearing them at this year's JAB Fest. "He's the only person I know that wears suspenders besides my dad. My dad used to rock suspenders all the time, and it's kind of fun to watch Parker try to bring that back. I hope he does wear the suspenders again."
Shifting gears (no pun intended), Abbott reacted to the theft of McCollum's truck this week. It's the second time the Texas country singer has had a vehicle stolen.
"That sucks, that's his second car to get stolen. Like, where you parking this thing...Parker," Abbott said jokingly. But the country star admitted he'd "be pissed" if someone stole his truck, which he "wants to drive forever."
McCollum is offering a $1,000 reward for anyone who finds his truck, which is a white 2019 King Ranch F-250.
