Jana Kramer Welcomes a Baby Boy
Jana Kramer gave birth to a healthy baby boy on Thursday (Nov. 29). The singer and actress shared a first picture of Jace Joseph Caussin on Instagram after six months of updates.
"Our hearts are so full," Kramer writes under a picture of the baby. "Thank you to all of our friends and family and all of you who have supported Mike and I, and our growing family."
Baby Jace was born at 7:53AM in Los Angeles, People reports, weighing 7 lbs., 12 oz., and measuring 20.5 inches. It seems he may have been delivered via planned C-section, as a photo Kramer posted shows her behind a sheet. She provided updates all week ahead of baby's arrival and let fans know their family would be growing by one imminently.
Kramer's son joins 2-year-old daughter Jolie Rae to make a family of four, along with husband Michael Caussin. The joyous occasion marks the end of a turbulent few years for the couple. They separated in August 2016 but reunited one year later and renewed their vows. In announcing that she was pregnant, Kramer shared that she had suffered five total miscarriages, including two after trying IVF.
Jolie has been the focus of most of her Instagram posts recently, including one with a sign that read: "Only child expiring November 2018."
In September, Kramer shared that the baby was a boy, and one month later shared pictures from a topless maternity photoshoot for US Weekly. She's been very open about the highs and lows of pregnancy and her marriage on Instagram and in her podcast.
Musically Kramer's last studio album was Thirty One, released in 2015. She also released a song called "Dammit" independently in 2018. Other pursuits over the last three years have included a supporting role in a movie called Support the Girls (2018) and a stint on Dancing With the Stars, where she finished fourth in 2016.
Kramer's baby is first in what should be a busy season for country music babies. Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood and Angaleena Presley are three who are expecting soon.
